Dear Valued CYBEX Consumer:

CYBEX designs, engineers and tests its products with safety as its number-one priority.  When CYBEX believes that a recall is warranted, it voluntarily takes steps to do so. Based on a robust commitment to safety and continuous product improvement, CYBEX has decided to recall select US versions of infant car seats manufactured between June 6, 2017, and November 1, 2020. 

Issue:

The webbing strap used in the central front seatbelt adjuster to snugly adjust the shoulder harness straps onto the infant may fray, which can reduce the strength of the seatbelt. An infant seat belt with insufficient strength may not properly restrain the occupant, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.

REMEDY

CYBEX is providing owners of affected car seats a free remedy kit that includes a replacement harness adjuster strap assembly and installation instructions for owners. The repair should take 5 minutes. CYBEX urges you to replace the webbing strap assembly currently on your infant car seat with the one provided in the kit, as soon as possible.

On or about March 13, 2023, the remedy kit will be sent to registered owners. See the below links to register your car seat if you are unsure of whether you have registered previously.  Please do not return these car seats to retailers. For owners and purchasers who incurred costs for remedies for replacing the recalled webbing in advance of February 16, 2023, please contact CYBEX customer service at 1-877-242-5676. Please consult your product’s Warranty for additional information.
