Het verhaal van de Laya begint meteen op de eerste dag, wanneer hij je helpt je pasgeboren baby dicht bij je te houden. Slimme, zelfaanpassende stretchstof sluit natuurlijk aan rond het lichaam van je baby en groeit met hem of haar mee. Alle aanpassingen voelen makkelijk en natuurlijk aan. Het is meer dan alleen je baby dragen – het is een manier om een band op te bouwen, met een kangoeroezak waarmee je baby de ouderlijke aanraking voelt. Zachte, ademende mesh-stof houdt ze dichtbij, comfortabel en koel op warme dagen, terwijl magnetische gespen makkelijk vastklikken om je kleintje veilig te houden. Met een stijlvol afneembaar portemonneetje om je spullen bij de hand te houden, is de Laya vanaf de eerste dag jouw trouwe metgezel.

Draag je pasgeboren baby vanaf de eerste dag
Neem vanaf de eerste dag mee wat echt belangrijk is. Dankzij de slimme stretchstof past het rugpaneel van de draagzak zich makkelijk aan de vorm en grootte van je kindje aan terwijl het groeit. Het zorgt ervoor dat ze lekker zitten zonder dat je iets hoeft aan te passen – vanaf de geboorte tot ze drie jaar zijn.

Bouw een hechte band op
Bouw je relatie vanaf het begin op. Door de kangoeroezak kun je je hand in de draagzak steken, zodat jij en je baby nog dichter bij elkaar komen. Hij is gemaakt van zacht, ademend mesh-materiaal en voelt net zo fijn als een knuffel.

Snel, makkelijk en veilig
Het mooie zit 'm in de eenvoud van de magnetische gespen die de Laya-draagzak versieren. Ze zijn slim ontworpen om het makkelijker te maken om een baby in of uit de draagzak te halen. Ze schuiven makkelijk op hun plek, maar je moet eerst op een veiligheidsknop drukken voordat je ze los kunt maken – zo blijft je kleintje veilig en beschermd.

How do I make sure the weight distribution is best for the caregiver?

Your baby’s head should be close enough to kiss without needing to stoop, with their hips in the hip-friendly M position and their spine in the C shape, More information about body positions and shapes can be found in our user guide. Specially designed padding helps redistribute the weight away from your neck, shoulders and back. A well-padded waist belt perfectly supports your lower back and provides optimal lumbar support.

What are the possible carry positions and when should I use them?

Begin that special connection with your baby with the (newborn) front inward carry position from birth until 3 years. Designed to give maximum support to their neck, the front inward carry position keeps your baby closest of all. Specially developed to allow the neck support to be rolled inside to let them cuddle in to feel safe and protected from Day 1. Once they are around 6 months old and can hold their head upright, the front outward carry position is perfect for around 20 minutes at a time to let them see the world face on. The back inward carry position has been the go-to position for centuries and can be used from 6 months to give your child a view over your shoulder.

When can I start putting the baby in the Laya Carrier?

Once your baby grows to 50 cm and weighs 3.2 kg, you can begin your adventures with the Laya Carrier. If you can see half their ear, then they are at the right height but ensure they are in the hip-healthy M position with their spine supported in the curved C shape before you begin by positioning your baby’s bottom correctly in the carrier

Is the Laya Carrier designed for all body types?

Your comfort is paramount and the Laya Carrier has been designed to ensure this. Having your baby in the correct position to provide the best weight distribution is the first step. The waist belt and the shoulder straps can be tightened or loosened from the front or back as you walk to give more support when you need it.

How safe are the materials used in my Laya Carrier?

The safety of your children is at the front of everything we do, and all materials used in CYBEX products undergo stringent testing and all meet the highest standards.

Usage

When and for how long can I carry my baby in the front outward carry position?

Once your baby can hold their head up independently and become more curious of their surroundings, usually between 4 and 6 months old, they can be carried in the front outward carry position. Please remember that they should only stay in this position for around 20 minutes.

How does the sternum strap benefit me?

The sternum strap is used to improve the integrity of the structure and helps to distribute the weight away from your shoulders when the shoulder straps are parallel.

What is the advantage of the leg loops?

By reducing the circumference of the leg openings, the leg loops provide support for smaller babies. Once they are too tight for your baby, you should then stop using them.

Why is it important to secure the waist belt buckle with the elastic loop?

If the buckle buttons were accidentally pressed, this elastic loop ensures the waist belt stays secure and keeps your child safe.

How should the shoulder straps be worn?

To keep your baby safe and every journey as comfortable as possible for both the baby and the caregiver, the shoulder straps should always be kept parallel to each other.

How do the Magnetic Click-&-Go Buckles work?

Designed to keep your baby safe but still allow for smooth access for caregivers, you simply need to push the safety button and slide them up. Slightly raising your baby’s bottom as you do this will make the whole process easier.

Can I breastfeed with my baby in the Laya Carrier?

Yes, it is possible and recommended. Once seated, loosen the shoulder straps to allow the baby access. Please remember to position your baby correctly again afterwards.

Is the carrier machine washable?

Yes, your Laya Carrier is machine washable at 30°C. Before putting the carrier in the washing machine, please take off the coin purse.

Why do I never have to adapt the back panel’s width?

Intuitive elasticated fabric contracts and stretches automatically to give your baby a snug fit from birth until they are 3 years old.
